This is really odd to me.

I watch a LOT of people on here, Monday morning when I hop on I usually have a HUGE amount of images to go through, because lots of people shoot over the weekend and post it here. Some are pros, some are wannabes, and the vast majority fall somewhere in between. I watch them all because something they have done at one time or another has appealed to me.

One I watch, that I believe makes money with his camera, doesn't shoot FANTASTIC!!!! work, but does shoot attractive women in a variety of poses, nude or semi-nude. It's nothing to knock your socks off, but it's not poor quality either. Lately I have been seeing "pros" make rather derogatory comments on his images. Comments that, quite honestly, had nothing whatever to do with the images. Simply put, the photographer is being attacked by established "pros" who should, quite frankly, be "above" that sort of silliness. Words like "garbage" and "nasty" are being flung around, and don't apply to any of the works they are thrown at.

There are always going to be trolls on websites like this. But these aren't trolls, these are other photographers I am watching as well, because they are skilled at what they do. They are professionally working photographers, making their living off of their skill with the camera. They SHOULD be encouraging, not trying to tear someone down who's just sharing images of attractive women he shoots.

If you think he's done something wrong, offer him advice about how to do it better. I am QUITE sure you wouldn't appreciate it if/when someone leaves similar comments on images of yours, equally undeserving of such comments, so why do you choose to do so?

It's such a surprise when I see messages like that, I have to hope that their accounts have been hacked and they aren't the ones posting the messages.

If that's not the case, then it makes me sad to find out that the photographers I, and lots of other people on here, look up to not only have feet of clay, but they are also composed of low grade mud with a few animal droppings mixed in.

Respect. You want it, you have to give it as well.
